Notice Nature Walks with the Yorkshire Dales National Park

We are working with the Yorkshire Dales National Park to bring walking for wellbeing to the community in the Notice Nature series. The Notice Nature Walks are free for locals, taking place in and around Kirkby Lonsdale. These walks provide an opportunity to learn more about nature, be active and look after your mental health.

Over the summer, park rangers will lead three walks near Kirkby Lonsdale where you will learn about the trees, plants and animals around you. In September there will be a Dark Skies walk taking you on a similar journey as you learn about stars and space.   

Notice Nature Walk, Sunday 4th July

In July and August we are offering two Notice Nature Walks from Devil’s Bridge to Underley Estate. Being active and taking the time to understand the world around you is proven to improve mental health and wellbeing.

Dark Skies Walk, Sunday 5th September

Guided by a park ranger, you will be led along the River Lune at dusk as you learn about the world around you as well as the sky above. This night-time adventure will end with a campfire in Glebe Field next to Ruskin’s View.
