Special Public Meeting
Kirkby Lonsdale Town Council
There has been a lot of comment about the impact of visitors on the town and its resources during the weekend of August 13/14 last.
Kirkby Lonsdale Town Council will host a special public meeting on Wednesday, August 24, at 7.30pm at the Lunesdale Hall, to discuss this issue.
Representatives have been invited from the county and district council, the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the town’s Chamber of Trade, its Community Interest Company, the fire and rescue, police and ambulance services, along with the Lunesdale Surgery.
What can be done by the various agencies?
Members of the public will be able to contribute to the discussion which will seek to identify the issues which arise when there are a large number of visitors to the town and surrounding areas.
The meeting is at the Lunesdale Hall, Wednesday, August 24, starting at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
