Roll Over Beethoven
The Heron Theatre, Beetham
Come along to the Heron Theatre on Friday 27th May 2022 at 7.30pm to hear the works of the great composers as you may never have heard them before! Comedy song writers have often played fast and loose with the rarefied world of classical music, an artform that can take itself rather seriously. Classical pianist, singer and performer Michael Lunts makes a welcome return, bringing the two worlds together, with the work of Flanders & Swann, Joyce Grenfell, Dudley Moore, Gilbert & Sullivan and others.

The Heron Theatre
The Heron Theatre is a listed building which was formerly the local 18th century two-room Grammar School in Beetham. Located just off the A6, between Carnforth and Milnthorpe, on the southern fringes of the Lake District, the theatre has comfortable raked seating for 80, with the Box Office and Bar located in the pleasant foyer and exhibition area.
We trace our origins to 1948, when a local headmaster formed an ambitious amateur drama group in South Westmorland. This flourished through the years, mainly through the performance of plays, together with film shows and literary events.
The theatre is situated in Stanley Street, Beetham, LA7 7AS
