Laurel and Hardy Cabaret
The Heron Theatre, Beetham
On Friday 13th May 2022 at 7.30pm at the Heron Theatre, Beetham, Tony Carpenter and Philip Hutchinson will offer an uncanny portrayal of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, drawing from over 100 films and music hall routines spanning their 30 year career. Classic slapstick comedy, song and dance at its best, to suit the whole family. Buxton Fringe Review: “I thought I couldn’t laugh as much again but I did”. A well studied and affectionate tribute to the great comedy pair..

The Heron Theatre
The Heron Theatre is a listed building which was formerly the local 18th century two-room Grammar School in Beetham. Located just off the A6, between Carnforth and Milnthorpe, on the southern fringes of the Lake District, the theatre has comfortable raked seating for 80, with the Box Office and Bar located in the pleasant foyer and exhibition area.
We trace our origins to 1948, when a local headmaster formed an ambitious amateur drama group in South Westmorland. This flourished through the years, mainly through the performance of plays, together with film shows and literary events.
The theatre is situated in Stanley Street, Beetham, LA7 7AS
