Kirkby Lonsdale Market Traders Co Operative are looking to employ two enthusiastic individuals to assist in the set-up and take down of the charter market every Thursday.
Job Description:
To assist the Market Manger in the set-up and take down of the Charter Market every Thursday, you will be expected to transport up to twenty gazebos from their storage to the Market Square, assembly the gazebos and install walls, rain gutters and leg weights under the direction of the market manager. Once all gazebos have been assembled then any remaining time you have, should be used to assist market traders in the unloading and set up of their stalls.
At the end of the market, you are to assist as above in the take down of the market and the return of all gazebos and equipment to their store.
For Health & Safety reasons you may be asked to undertake some traffic control to prevent members of the public entering the market square car park before the end of the licenced closure (5pm).
Working Hours
– 3 hours every Thursday, as follows:
06.30am – 07.30am (1 Hour)
03.00pm – 05.00pm (2 Hours)
These positions would ideally suit someone of secondary school age between the ages of 16 – 18
Please note this job is a physically demanding job
Rates of Pay
16 – 18 year old £5 per hour
